Single 8 mag down!

Our Japanese here at onsuper8.org is about as good as our waterskiing capabilities (i.e. non existent), so we're always thrilled when we get snippets of small film news through from Japan - except this time.

We've been told that Fuji's magnetic striping machine, the gizmo that applies mag stripe gunk to their R25N and RT200N Single 8 film during processing is out of service with no ETA for repair. Whilst this won't affect the majority of small film users, Single 8 shooters in Japan are understandably concerned...

Here's hoping that Fuji get a fix and keep service flowing right until the end of September 2008. [Thanks Muddy!]
