Strawberry Film Preview Night

Charlie Blackfield came from Bristol to speak about his film 'Clockwork mouse strike back'

The back room of the Locomotive pub in Mill Road, Cambridge (UK) was a good choice of venue for this informal film event on Easter Sunday evening. The event appeared to be more well attended than anticipated with some visitors having to find a spot on the floor to sit down but there appeared to be no complaints from the informal crowd.

The line up consisted of two halves, kicking off with a preview of some of this years entry submissions to The Strawberrry Fair Film Festival (June 1st and 2nd 2007) and followed by the entire second half given to previewing several films submitted to Strawberry Super 8.

The emphasis was very much on explaining to the unconverted the joys of the Super 8 format and to encourage people to attend the main event in June. The informal, question and answer style format and the interactive approach of the organisers who also enjoyed sharing one or two pieces of their own work, all served to further the Super 8 cause.
