Brazillian Super 8 brilliance
The 4th edition of the Curitibas Super 8 Movie Festival is packed full of new features and also has a new name: “Curta 8 – Curitiba Super-8 Film Festival”.
Held on 25th, 26th and 27th November in Curitiba, Brazil the festival will feature the best Super 8 films from Brazil and right around the world competing in 10 categories. Supporting the competition will a single cartridge shoot workshop as well a Brazilian Super 8 retrospective including “Escura Maravilha” by Fernando Severo and “Meu Primo” by the gaucho director Carlos Gerbase.
The call for entries is now open (on Super 8 or DVD) to films less than 20 minutes, originated on Super 8mm film and produced after 2006. Entries should be posted before 30th October 2008 and entry is free.
